Robert O. Young, mannen bak «The New Biology», anbefaler tilskudd av flytende klorofyll. Ifølge Young hjelper klorofyll til å «bygge blodet». Han sier faktisk at hvis man er blodfattig (anemisk) skal man ikke ta jern men klorofyll. «chlorophyll might be considered one of the best blood transfusions we could ever get».
